Biography:

 

Conservation biologist/herpetologist.  Natural History Section of Royal British Columbia Museum (1981-1999).  National Co-ordinator for Canada for IUCN/SSC Task Force on Declining Amphibian Populations in Canada (DAPCAN) – 1994-1999.  In 1994 co-founded Canadian Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Network (CARCNet) and served as Chair from 1994 to 1999.  In 1998 invited to Australia by WWF to – over four years - design and manage world’s largest privately-funded amphibian conservation program – now an independent organization known as ‘Frogs Australia’.  In 2003, returned to B.C. and resurrected plans to develop the tools and strategies to effectively control and eradicate populations of invasive alien amphibians such as the American bullfrog.  Currently, President, BullfrogControl.com Inc. (2005 to present) and holds international patent on electro-frogging technique.
